Obama’s Accusations
Former President Barack Obama claims that the Republican Party doesn’t believe in “science” or “the rule of law” and is “constantly tapping into our worst impulses.”
IN FACT, all of Obama’s accusations apply to himself and the Democratic Party. Here are the specifics:
Regarding science:
- Democrats ignore and deny the scientific facts that every new human life begins at fertilization and that thousands of elective late-term abortions per year are performed on pre-birth humans who have developed enough to suckle, hear sounds, and feel pain.
- Democrats insist the world is in a “climate crisis” even though wide-ranging climate-related measures have remained stable or improved for the past 30–170 years, including but not limited to hurricane frequency & intensity, floods & droughts, forest mass & tree cover, foliage productivity, coral reef island area, mainland coastal area, extinctions, agricultural production, weather fatalities, and weather economic damages.
- Democrats conflate carbon dioxide, a natural, clean, non-carcinogenic gas with noxious pollutants like carbon monoxide and black carbon.
- Democrats exaggerated the Covid-19 death rate by a factor of 10, prompting lockdowns that caused multitudes of deaths through missed medical care, depression, substance abuse, anxiety, school closures, and other foreseeable fallouts.
- Democrats mandated face masks in spite of the fact that no randomized controlled trial has ever found that masks have clinically meaningful benefits, dozens of studies show that they cause significant harms, and decades of studies showed that contagious respiratory diseases are mainly spread by microscopic aerosols that easily penetrate cloth and surgical masks.
- Democrats mandated Covid mRNA vaccines even though gold-standard randomized controlled trials found no evidence that they save more lives than they take.
- Democrats deny the scientific reality that males who compete in female sports dominate and threaten the safety of females because “strength, lean body mass, muscle size and bone density” are “only trivially affected” by the transgenderizing medications they take.
Regarding the rule of law:
- Democrats choose to not prosecute, recklessly release, and give light sentences to repeat criminals who go on to assault, rape, and murder.
- Obama and Biden placed 10+ million illegal immigrants above the law by making them effectively immune from deportation.
- The Democratic Party Platform calls for rewarding illegal immigrants who broke the law by giving them amnesty and full citizenship.
- Obama unilaterally made four-to-five million illegal immigrants eligible for Social Security and Medicare benefits (struck down 2–1 by a federal appeals court).
- Biden unilaterally transferred $605 billion in student loan debt to taxpayers (struck down 6–3 by the Supreme Court).
- Biden unilaterally imposed a Covid-19 vaccine mandate on most of the nation’s workers (stayed 6–3 by the Supreme Court).
- The Biden administration prosecuted more than a hundred J6 protestors by misusing a law about “obstructing an official proceeding” while Democrats simultaneously praised and defended Democrats who did the same (struck down 6–3 by the Supreme Court).
- Biden administration officials raided the home of Trump and prosecuted him for having classified documents, even though Biden had classified documents in his home but wasn’t charged because he was an “elderly man with a poor memory.”
- The Biden administration prosecuted Trump for citing data from a PhD-vetted study and using it to carry out “official actions” within his “conclusive and preclusive constitutional authority” (struck down 6–3 by the Supreme Court).
- New York Democrats prosecuted Trump with a crime never before charged in the history of the nation.
Regarding “worst impulses”:
- In the run-ups to the 3 assassination attempts against Donald Trump, the murder of Charlie Kirk, and the mass slayings of schoolchildren, hundreds of Democrats spread patent falsehoods that animated the perpetrators of these crimes.
- Democrats hyperfocus on and distort one out of every 10,000 murders in the U.S. to demonize the police and accuse large swaths of Americans of systemic racism.
- Even after facts had shown that the death of Trayvon Martin had nothing to do with his race and everything to do with him attacking an innocent person, Obama said that this tragedy was “the start of America looking inward” and “coming to terms with what was our original sin.”
- Hillary Clinton called “half” of Donald Trump’s supporters a “basket of deplorables” and later walked this back by saying that she regrets saying “half.”
- Democrats stoked runaway inflation by enacting trillions of dollars in added deficit spending and then falsely and repeatedly blamed the inflation on grocery chains, other corporations, greed, profiteering, and price gouging.
- To build support for the Affordable Care Act, Obama lied at least 50 times that everyone who liked their health insurance and doctors could keep them under Obamacare.
- Echoing the primary rhetoric of the leaders of the Soviet Union, Democrats wage class warfare against successful people while blaming them for the outcomes of policies that Democrats enacted.
Republicans are far from faultless in these regards, but Obama’s portrayal of this as a one-way street is a quintessential example of projection.
