Contrary to the claims of Democrats and certain “fact checkers,” Senate Democrats are demanding significant amounts of taxpayer-funded healthcare for illegal immigrants in exchange for reopening the government. They attempt to deny this fact by falsely equating aliens who have been granted a temporary reprieve from deportation with legal immigrants. This includes millions of people that President Biden illegally paroled into the county and DACA recipients, who are commonly called DREAMERS. Beyond court rulings that show they are not legal immigrants, even the Biden administration admitted that “DACA is not a form of lawful status….” The exact amount this will cost taxpayers is unknown, but the Democrat bill to reopen the government would give about $193 billion to illegal immigrants and other non-citizens for healthcare over the next 10 years. The long-term costs of this will be multiples greater because the bill enacts welfare benefits that continue indefinitely into the future.
