Question of the Day

Biden Laptop Contents

Was there ever any evidence that the contents of Hunter Biden's laptop are Russian disinformation?

Correct Answer

Tell Me More

Shortly before the 2020 election when emails were published from Hunter Biden's laptop implicating Joe Biden in bribery and obstruction of justice, a group of 51 former government intelligence officials signed a letter claiming that the emails have "all the classic earmarks of a Russian information operation." However, they admitted "we do not have evidence of Russian involvement - just that our experience makes us deeply suspicious that the Russian government played a significant role in this case." Major media outlets then changed the phrase "Russian information" to "Russian disinformation" and widely spread this baseless claim. Biden then used it in the final presidential debate to allege that the emails are "a bunch of garbage." Former acting CIA director Mike Morell recently testified under oath that he gathered the signatures of the officials at the prompting of Antony Blinken (who is now Biden's Secretary of State) because "I wanted him [Biden] to win the election."
