When the Times' hired Jeong, the paper's "conservative" columnist, Bret Stephens, welcomed her to the paper, writing: "Let he who is without a bad tweet cast the first stone." In his latest column, Stephens claims Trump is "wholly, undeniably and unforgivably responsible" for the "sacking of the Capitol" even though Trump stated earlier that day, "I know that everyone here will soon be marching over to the Capitol building to peacefully and patriotically make your voices heard."
