During 2013 to 2015, the U.S. Border Patrol recorded an average of about 700,000 illegal entries into the U.S. per year along the Mexican border. This includes people who were apprehended after crossing the border, turned back to Mexico on their own, or reached the interior of United States. It does not include "illegal entrants for which Border Patrol does not have reasonable indications of cross-border illegal activity."
