A 2011 survey conducted by the National Center for Injury Prevention and Control found that 11.5% or 13.8 million women in the U.S. have been the victim of a completed forcible rape. This does not include alcohol- or drug-facilitated penetration. Among all female rape victims, roughly 12% were first raped before the age of 10, and 40% were first raped before the age of 18.
