Per a 2009 paper in the Journal of American College Health, "Data from the nationally administered 2005 Core Alcohol and Drug Survey showed that 82% of students who experienced unwanted sexual intercourse during the current academic year were under the influence of AOD [alcohol and/or other drugs] when they were victimized." Scholars have been scolded and censored from citing data about this risk factor because it could lead to blaming the victim.
