Democracy & Rule of Law
U.S. Senator Chris Murphy (D–CT) claims that Republicans are “fighting to destroy” “American democracy” and the “rule of law,” while Democrats are “fighting to protect” them.
IN FACT, Democrats have done on at least 10 occasions what Murphy is accusing Republicans of doing:
- Democrat lawyers and judges in multiple states tried to kick Donald Trump off the presidential ballot in the 2024 election (struck down 9–0 by the Supreme Court).
- Democrat powerbrokers pushed Joe Biden out of the 2024 presidential race after he overwhelmingly won all of the Democratic primaries.
- President Biden let millions of inadmissible aliens into the U.S. by distorting a federal law that allows for such entries “only on a case-by-case basis for urgent humanitarian reasons or significant public benefit.”
- President Obama attempted to unilaterally make four-to-five million illegal immigrants immune from deportation and eligible for Social Security and Medicare benefits (struck down 2–1 by a federal appeals court).
- Biden flagrantly flouted the rule of law by attempting to unilaterally transfer student loan debts to taxpayers (struck down a 6–3 by the Supreme Court).
- Biden unilaterally imposed a vaccine mandate on most of the nation’s workers (stayed 6–3 by the Supreme Court).
- Biden’s DOJ prosecuted more than a hundred J6 protestors by misusing a law about “obstructing an official proceeding” while Democrats simultaneously praised and defended Democrats who did the same (struck down 6–3 by the Supreme Court).
- Biden’s DOJ and FBI raided the home of a pro-lifer and prosecuted him for shoving an abortion clinic worker who was harassing one of his children (charges dismissed by a jury after less than an hour of deliberation).
- Biden’s DOJ and FBI raided the home of Donald Trump and prosecuted him for having classified documents, even though Joe Biden had classified documents in his home but wasn’t charged because he was an “elderly man with a poor memory.”
- Biden’s DOJ prosecuted Trump for citing data from a PhD-vetted study by Just Facts and using it to carry out “official actions” within his “conclusive and preclusive constitutional authority” (struck down 6–3 by the Supreme Court).
Murphy’s allegations are a classic example of projection, a nefarious propaganda technique that dates back to the Roman Empire.
