“The Talk”
The New York Times claims that President Trump’s D.C. crime crackdown is leading black parents to have “the talk” with their children like when “the deaths of Trayvon Martin” and “Michael Brown” brought “national attention to the problem of young Black men dying at the hands of the police.”
IN FACT, black people are about 4,000 times more likely to be murdered by other black people than the police, and Trump’s actions already show early signs of reducing this carnage. Trayvon Martin and Michael Brown were killed in clear-cut cases of self-defense, but the Times and other media outlets consistently misinformed the public about these cases and stoked anger that led to the murders of police.
