Lawbreakers, Not Protestors
The New York Times claims that President Trump is threatening to invoke the “Insurrection Act to quash Minneapolis protests” against “his immigration crackdown.”
IN FACT, Trump stated that he would invoke the Act if the “politicians of Minnesota don’t obey the law and stop the professional agitators and insurrectionists” from committing violence against ICE. The Times similarly misreported during the 2020 BLM riots that Trump vowed to “crush protests” when he told governors to stop the “professional anarchists, violent mobs, arsonists, looters.”
