Virginia governor-elect Abigail Spanberger claims that she’s going to lower the “cost of living” by “supporting our nation-leading offshore wind industry.”

IN FACT, the cost of generating electricity via offshore wind is at least 242% more expensive than natural gas. Regardless of whether this premium is paid by consumers or taxpayers, offshore wind raises the cost of living because it delivers less energy than competing technologies for every dollar spent.
