An AP article published by PBS claims that “climate change is a threat multiplier, meaning that it makes things” like “biodiversity loss worse.”
IN FACT, a recent study in a prominent scholarly journal found that “extinctions related to climate change have not significantly increased over the last approximately 200 years.” Predictions about the future effects of climate change are based on models, a class of studies that is notoriously unreliable.
