Affordability “Hoax”
Democrat House Leader Hakeem Jeffries, NPR and dozens of other media outlets are reporting that President Trump called the “affordability crisis” a “hoax.”
IN FACT, Trump has repeatedly stated that the “hoax” is Democrats claiming the mantle of “affordability” while blaming the high prices that they caused on Trump. In the course of this, Trump has falsely stated that “prices” are “way down,” but in reality, the CPI has risen by 1.7% since he entered office, an annualized rate of 2.5%.
