Genocidal War Crimes
New York City Democrat mayoral nominee Zohran Mamdani claims that Israel is conducting a “genocidal war” by “bombing homes, hospitals, and schools into rubble.”
IN FACT, Mamdani is projecting the genocidal war crimes of Hamas onto Israel. Here are the specifics:
- The charter of Hamas calls for “killing the Jews,” and Hamas has done that en masse by deliberately murdering civilians while also raping and torturing them.
- In response, Israel is trying to eradicate Hamas while warning civilians to get out of harm’s way.
- Meanwhile, Hamas uses civilians for human shields and exploits hospitals, mosques, and schools to launch missiles, hold hostages, and hide terrorists.
- Israel’s actions accord with the U.S. Law of War Manual, which requires combatants to “reduce the risk of harm” to civilians “only to the extent feasible or consistent with military necessity.”
- Hamas’ actions directly violate the U.S. Law of War Manual because they endanger the lives of civilians.
Nevertheless, the United Nations declares that Israel is guilty of genocide by ignoring reams of facts which contradict that allegation and implicate Hamas.
