Illinois governor JB Pritzker claims that “we are literally on the verge of losing our democracy if Donald Trump cheats his way to those seats in Texas.”

IN FACT, 82% of the U.S. congressional delegation from Illinois are Democrats, while 55% of the state voted for Kamala Harris, a 27-point gap. If the Texas redistricting plan passes, about 79% of its delegation will be Republicans, while 56% of the state voted for Trump, a 23-point gap.
