California Exodus
California Governor Gavin Newsom (D) claims that “the California exodus is a myth,” and “over the last 2 years, we’ve seen back-to-back growth in California’s population.”
IN FACT, more U.S. residents have moved out of California than into California every year of Newsom’s governorship, a net total exodus of 1.4 million people since 2019. Recent growth is only due to births and foreign immigrants, who now comprise 27% of the state’s population.
