Children on Medicaid
U.S. Senator Elizabeth Warren (D–MA) claims that “little babies” will “lose their health care” due to Medicaid cuts in “Trump’s Big Beautiful Bill.”
IN FACT, the BBB doesn’t limit Medicaid eligibility for any American children, only for fraudsters, illegal immigrants, and able-bodied adults who don’t have young children and don’t work at least 20 hours per week.
NPR and the Commonwealth Fund allege that “if states potentially must find hundreds of billions of dollars in health care savings,” they may stop providing “optional” Medicaid benefits to some children. However, they fail to cite any provisions in the BBB that would cause this hypothetical scenario.
