Governor Tim Walz (D–MN), U.S. Congresswoman Ilhan Omar (D–MN), and Mayor Eric Adams (D–NY) claim that the murder of George Floyd was due to “systemic racism.”
IN FACT, the trial and vast media coverage of Floyd’s death found no evidence that racism played any role in this case. Moreover, racially charged falsehoods about it fueled protests and riots that are strongly associated with a 35% rise in the U.S. murder rate.
