“Clean” Energy Policies

U.S. Senate Democrat Leader Chuck Schumer claims that “the Republican energy plan” creates “higher prices for Americans and more jobs for China” because the “boom in clean energy projects is fading under Trump.”

IN FACT, wind and solar provided only 6.6% of U.S. energy in 2024, despite decades of aggressive subsidies and mandates that have enriched China and raised energy costs for Americans. Schumer is projecting, or blaming Republicans for the actions of Democrats.
