U.S. Senate Democrat Leader Chuck Schumer claims that a Trump administration decision to interrupt construction of a New York offshore wind project is an “attack” on “lower electricity bills.”
IN FACT, the cost of generating electricity via offshore wind is at least 242% more than natural gas. On top of that, government subsidies for such projects enrich “green” energy investors, have negligible effects on net job creation, and impoverish U.S. citizens.
