Senate Democrat Leader Chuck Schumer claims that President Trump is “driving up inflation.”
IN FACT, inflation has declined during the two full months of available data since Trump became president. Because inflation tends to fluctuate over the short term, this decline isn’t very telling, but it does show that Schumer’s claim has no objective basis:
