Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett (D–TX) claims that “the people that commit 80% of the most violent crimes in this country are white supremacists.”
IN FACT, Crockett’s figure of 80% comes from an analysis of 25 “extremist-related” murders in 2022, which accounted for 0.1% of 23,785 murders that year. Looking at the big picture, white non-Hispanic people are 57% of the U.S. population and commit 21% of all murders.
