U.S. Senator Bernie Sanders (I–VT) claims that “we must get Big Money out of our electoral process” because “politicians cannot vote their conscience” due to “billionaire-funded Super PACs.”

IN FACT, the biggest and most influential money in elections is the $3.9 trillion per year that federal politicians take from taxpayers to buy votes via unconstitutional social programs. That’s 488 times the $16 billion spent on all federal races in 2023–2024.
