Afghanistan Withdrawal
U.S. Senator Chris Murphy (D–CT) claims that “Trump owns the Afghanistan withdrawal” because he “cut a bad deal with the Taliban, “forcing Biden to clean it up and making a chaotic exit practically inevitable.”
IN FACT, Biden could have revoked Trump’s agreement with the Taliban, just like he did with many of Trump’s other policies.
When Biden decided to withdraw from Afghanistan, he took ownership by stating, “I have concluded that it’s time to end” this war, and “I trust the capacity of the Afghan military.”
Then when Islamic extremists overran the nation while oppressing, raping, and executing people, Biden blamed his own actions on his predecessor, just like Obama did with Iraq.
