Senate Border Act
Chris Murphy, the Democrat architect of the Senate Border Act, claims that this bill would “let the President shut down the border.”
IN FACT, Murphy himself wrote that “the border never closes” under this bill. He also listed the bill’s other open-border provisions while trying to sell it to his base. House Republicans passed a far stronger bill, but 100% of House Democrats voted against it, and Senate Democrats shelved it.
