“Illegal” v. “Undocumented”
President Biden claims that he regrets using the word “illegal” to describe the “undocumented person” charged with the murder of Laken Riley because “I’m not going to treat any of these people with disrespect.”
IN FACT, Garner’s Dictionary of Legal Usage explains that words like “undocumented” are “needless euphemisms” which “obscure” the reality that “illegal aliens” are people who are “present in a country in violation of the immigration laws.”
