President Biden claims that in “Trump’s final year as president, murders went up 30% nationwide — the biggest increase in history.”
IN FACT, the murder surge of 2020 doesn’t correlate to Trump’s presidency (or Covid-19, as many media outlets claim) but precisely to the start of the “Black Lives Matter” protests and riots. The latest available national murder rate is still 27% higher than in 2019 and 48% higher than in 2014.
