Bowing to Putin
Condemning Trump, VP Kamala Harris claims that “no previous United States president, regardless of their party, has bowed down to a Russian dictator before.”
IN FACT, Obama refused to provide Ukraine with lethal weapons when Russia invaded, a policy that Trump overturned.
Obama also stopped the U.S. from deploying missile interceptors in Poland, a decision that Putin praised as “very right and brave.” Three years later after Putin was reelected under a cloud of electoral fraud, Obama had the following conversation with outgoing president Dmitry Medvedev while unaware that a microphone was recording them:
Obama: “On all these issues, but particularly missile defense, this can be solved but it’s important for him [Putin] to give me space.”
Medvedev: “Yeah, I understand. I understand your message about space. Space for you.”
Obama: “This is my last election. After my election I have more flexibility.”
Medvedev: “I understand. I will transmit this information to Vladimir.”
Likewise, Biden waived sanctions that were stopping completion of the Nord Stream 2 pipeline despite warnings it “could facilitate a possible Russian invasion” of Ukraine.
