U.S. Congressman Ted Lieu (D–CA) claims “a jury found that Donald Trump sexually abused E. Jean Carroll” after they “heard all the evidence at trial.”
IN FACT, this was a civil case in which the burden of proof is merely “preponderance of the evidence” — not “beyond a reasonable doubt” as in crime trials.
Also, the jury did not hear “all the evidence” because a Clinton-appointed judge banned jurors from hearing that Carroll’s lawsuit was partly funded by Democrat megadonor Reid Hoffman and that Carroll falsely denied this during a sworn deposition.
