California governor Gavin Newsom (D) claims the GOP isn’t “pro-life” because Nebraska governor Jim Pillen (R) has rejected “federal money to feed food-insecure children.”

IN FACT, people who take Food Stamps are 79% more likely to suffer from hunger than people with equivalent incomes who don’t take Food Stamps. The reasons why are uncertain, but moral hazard created by government dependency may be a root cause.
