Steve Scalise
Cal Berkeley professor Robert Reich claims that House Speaker candidate Steve Scalise (R–LA) “reportedly called himself ‘David Duke without the baggage,’” he “voted to overturn the 2020 election,” and “the GOP is an extremist party.”
IN FACT, the accusation that Scalise likened himself to David Duke is meritless, Scalise didn’t vote to overturn the election but to investigate it, and the man who shot Scalise accused him of Klan sympathies and was a big fan of Robert Reich. Falsehoods incite violence.
