Comprehensive Immigration Reform
California Governor Gavin Newsom (D) claims that “sanctuary policy is unnecessary if we had comprehensive immigration reform.”
IN FACT, sanctuary policies impede the deportation of illegal immigrants who commit non-immigration crimes, and this is still necessary under Democrat plans for “comprehensive immigration reform,” a.k.a. amnesty.
Furthermore, politicians passed an amnesty in 1986 as a “one-time resolution of a longstanding problem,” but illegal immigration multiplied. Such amnesties reward people for breaking the law, creating incentives for others to do the same.
