Wealth Inequality
U.S. Senator Bernie Sanders (I–VT) claims the U.S. is an “oligarchy” because the “3 wealthiest people in the country,” who have “more wealth than the bottom half of American society,” stood behind President Trump at his inauguration.
IN FACT, the only period of modern history in which wealth inequality declined was the 3 pre-Covid years of Trump’s presidency. Moreover, Sanders ardently supports at least 4 major causes of wealth inequality:
1) Government social programs, which reduce incentives and means to work and save.
2) Government money printing, which increases the wealth of asset holders, while making assets less affordable for people with little wealth.
3) Pervasive and aggressive government regulations, which make it hard for small businesses to compete with major corporations.
4) Liberal ethics about sex, which create household fragmentation that dilutes workers’ incomes.
