U.S. Senator Cory Booker (D–NJ) claims that “eliminating the Department of Education” will rob “young people and educators of resources and guidelines that have built the most successful country on earth.”
IN FACT, the Department of Education was created in 1979, while the U.S. became the richest nation in the world in 1913 and the most powerful nation in 1945. The U.S. has also been one of the world’s most charitable nations since its founding.
